RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE FANTASY LEAGUE
The Goal
Boost live-viewership with a second-screen experience to keep fans engaged during weekly premieres.
Fantasy League
To true fans, the competition on RuPaul’s Drag Race is a sport in its own right, so why not build them a fantasy league?
Originally launched for All Stars Season 3, VH1’s microsite let fans draft a team of queens and win points for their performance in each episode, with the hopes of taking home the grand prize: first class tickets to the season finale.
SEASON 11 & BEYOND
The Fantasy League was so popular and successful at boosting viewership that it returned for Season 11 and All Stars Season 4, with a little help from the queens themselves.
In its lifetime, the site attracted tens of thousands of players, millions of page views and some seriously obsessive fans. Learn more from Trixie Mattel here.
